Halloween Wreath


To make this Halloween wreath:
Supplies:
  • Black Tulle Fabric
  • Thick poster board (or you can also use a wooden board or canvas)
  • Striped tights
  • 2 different types of the same color of ribbon
  • 1 Black, metallic poster
  • Long strips of cardboard
  • A phrase (such as Happy Halloween) cut out of foam or wood (or you can paint the saying onto a canvas)
  • Black Ribbon
  • 8 X 10 wood board (or you can also you a sturdy paper plate)
  • Hot glue gun
  • Hanging hardware
Instructions:
  1. Cut strips of black tool fabric about 10 inches wide.
  2. Obtain the wood board or sturdy paper plate
  3. Beginning hot gluing the tulle fabric near the edges of the surface that you choose to use. Make sure to bundle the fabric up when gluing to the surface.
  4. Once you are done with one layer, repeat step 3 again, but hot glue the fabric to the other side of the surface (either wood board or paper plate).
  5. Attach a canvas or thick poster board (whichever you may choose) to the middle of the wreath.
  6. Hot glue black ribbon along the edges of the canvas (or poster board) then:
    1. If using a canvas, paint a phrase of your choice onto the surface.
    2. If using poster board, obtain a 3-D phrase (you can buy these at Dollar Tree made out of foam).
  7. Attach the striped tights to the back side of the wreath (bundle them up til you get the length for the legs you desire).
  8. Cut out witch shoes from the black, metallic poster. Hot glue to the end of the tights facing opposite directions.
  9. Wrap ribbon around the tights, directly above the witch shoes (as shown in the picture).
  10. At the top of the ribbon (leg warmers on the witch), tie a bow with the other type of ribbon you have purchased. 
  11. Depending on the way you plan to hang up the wreath, attach the appropriate hardware. 
  12. And FINALLY: Display your Halloween wreath for all to see!
